"Homegrown" Professional Development

This project was held on August 13, 2012, for ALL elementary school teachers in the North Little Rock School District.  It was an opportunity for the teachers who had received Innovative Teaching Grants in the past to share their ideas with other teachers in the district.  One of the original intents of the grant program was for those grants that were successful to be shared with other teachers.  This event allowed for 17 past grants to be displayed and explained by the teacher who had the innovative idea.  The teachers were allowed six rotations to attend the information sessions for the grants in which they were interested.  The NLRPEF also had two booths available for teachers to assist them in applying for the grants.  Approximately 300 teachers attended.
